Hello!

I love the harbour’s understated beauty, no matter what the weather or the season, and so I was inspired into writing about to explore its nooks and crannies. I am deeply interested in the historical facts and anecdotes that abound the fourteen, beautiful, square miles, and I have tried to capture most of those stories. I do not claim to be an authority on history or geography; this book is intended to portray the harbour how I see it and tempt readers to discover and experience Poole Harbour for themselves.

I have already had two books that I have written and illustrated for children.’ 

“The Parson’s Nose” is a humorous story about a community parson who is terribly nosey, and his parishioners teach him a very interesting and painful lesson.

“Hobie’s Rather Fine Day”is about a cat and his human who happily live a bachelor life by the sea. Hobie realises one day that there is something missing in his life – a wife! This is a story, told in rhyme, about one extraordinary day where he finds love!

I am working on illustrating the sequel: “Hobie’s Christmas Eve Tale”, which I hope to be able to publish in the Autumn 2024.

All the stories are a heart-warming and fun look at friendships, hope and love.
